Waste Management of Personal Care & Cosmetic Waste in Jabodetabek

BPOM recorded a significant increase in the Indonesian cosmetics industry, which grew by 20.6% from 2021-2022. With the increase of production, PCC industry has also emerged as a substantial contributor to waste worldwide. Around 120 million cosmetic packaging has been produced globally, in which 79% of them end up in landfill, 12% of them end up burned, and only around 9% successfully recycled. This study aims to enhance public understanding and awareness regarding the management of Personal Care & Cosmetics packaging waste in Jabodetabek Area.
