Indonesia still have many challenges in terms of creating an ideal ecosystem for a responsible waste management. In Indonesia itself, waste management policies are formulated by various institutions, from national to regional levels. Therefore, this study aims to provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of Central Government institutions in executing waste management implementation in Indonesia while taking into account the importance of waste governance in realizing an integrated and sustainable waste management system
