Research Overview

Organic waste treatment using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) has many advantages, namely relatively short processing time, low residual waste, as well as high economic potential. In addition to solving waste problem, BSF also has high value that can be utilized in various fields such as agriculture, animal husbandry, pharmacy, as well as beauty and cosmetics. Organic waste management with BSF has been practiced widely in different regions in Indonesia, be it on a business, government, and even community scale. This research is done to identify the practices of organic waste management using BSF and map existing practitioners who have performed organic waste treatment using BSF in Indonesia.
