Waste4change's History And Milestones
2014
- Waste4Change was first initiated based on a discussion between PT Greeneration Indonesia (Ecoxyztem) and PT Bumi Lestari Bali (EcoBali) in an effort to create a company whose mission is to reduce the number of waste that end up in landfills
- Waste4Change is officially founded by Mohamad Bijaksana Junerosano under the name PT Wasteforchange Alam Indonesia
2015
- Waste4Change's very first Material Recovery Facility is constructed in Vida Bumipala, East Bekasi, Indonesia
2016
- Waste4Change cooperated with RDF technology provider to launch the Zero Waste to Landfill program
- Waste4Change launched the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program
2017
- Waste4Change co-organized the first Indonesia Circular Economy Forum (ICEF) in collaboration with Greeneration Foundation
2018
- Waste4Change launched its Send Your Waste (SYW) and Dropbox programs
- Waste4Change was selected as 1 out of 8 chosen social entrepreneurs in the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia 2018
- Waste4Change officially launch the Black Soldier Flies (BSF) breeding Facility in Sidoarjo
2019
- Waste4Change was awarded as The Most Responsible Company by World's Most Valued Business (MVB) Indonesia
- Waste4Change acquired investments from Agaeti Ventures and Partners to increase the waste-processing quality and quantity in the Material Recovery Facility
- Waste4Change launched Recycle 4.0 program to establish collaboration with local recycling partners and waste banks throughout Indonesia for responsible waste management
- Waste4Change received King Sejong & Jang Yeongsil Prize grant from KOICA for the development of waste management system based on a smart-city platform
2020
- Waste4Change officially acquired Sampah Muda, a waste management startup based in Semarang
- Waste4Change is selected as the winner out of 15 participants of Social Entrepreneur Bootcamp DBS Bank Indonesia
2021
- Waste4Change held Award4Change 2021 involving 27 award recipients
2022
- Waste4Change Grabs Series A US$5M Co-led by AC Ventures
- Waste4Change inaugurated the Material Recovery Facility at Telaga Kahuripan Bogor
